Andyax Moonland Pilot

We first spoke with the Andyax team at NAB 2024, and really liked their small-studio approach to creating projects.

When we found out that they were planning to do a pilot production for a kids’ TV show, we were in. The best kind of ‘proving ground’ for a new technology like Jetset Cine is a real production with real deadlines and constraints.

Morten, their technical lead, picked up the pipeline very quickly as they were already familiar with Blender, Fusion, and SynthEyes.

They made this first video showing their studio’s rapid learning of how the system worked, and how to make production shots with it, including the central importance of using a cooler on the iPhone!

I think Morten was the first person outside of Lightcraft to use the new sub-pixel tracking refinement pipeline! It’s especially exciting to see him extend the pipeline all the way from SynthEyes to Blender and into Fusion in their second video (top of page.)

This is the real power here — making a single shot is pretty straightforward, and you don’t need much organization. But when you are shooting a shot, and you have dozens or hundreds of shots, the tracking data pipeline and automatic shot organization features in Jetset and Autoshot make all the difference for delivering a project.

They took the pilot to Cannes, so we look forward to hearing about the reception!
